Nandhothsavam - The Final

As Anna came running at top speed towards Kolahalan temple a group of villagers fell at his feet. Anna came to an abrupt stop and patiently waited for them. As soon as they prayed and left he started running again. With the jasmine garlands flying up in the air, the dust from the lotus feet raising up the air, the Naama "gopal gopal gopal gopal" resounding through the air, the whole atmosphere vibrated. Anna slowed to embrace a Sri.Vaishnava Swami for a second and again started to run. With all the devotees following him Anna reached the Vasantha Mandapam of Kolahalan temple.

The Vasantha Mandapam is a very small structure and the devotees crowded around Anna. The dance that followed cannot be described in words. Anna is in a great Bhava. The boys circle Anna and dance around at unimaginable speed and vigour. The Naama is defeaning. The photos and the video clip gives us a glimpse of the great Bhava. Let us devotees bear in our mind, the Bhava much talked about in Chaithanya Charithamrutham, The Bhava described throughout the gospel of Sri.Ramakrishna, the great Prema Bhava talked about of gopis in Srimad Bhagavatham, the Bhava where the human form unites together with the Divine in a lock of love, is here for us to see and feel. We are contemporaries of one of the greatest Avathars. Our Blessing cannot be measured by any scale. We can just fall at the lotus feet, get back and watch.

As the showers of Prema Bhava fall on the devotees, they are taken to the world of love. SriSriAnna is here to only flood the world with love. All of us are just destined to be simply washed away in the torrent. The ecstatic dance and the singing go on and on. The floor of the Vasantha Mandapam is white with the milk and curd pouring from everyone's clothes. Anna's lotus feet, red with the kumkum applied by the devotees dances to the NamaSankeerthan. 

Anna completes the final dance of Nandhothsavam. He raises his hands and cries out the Pundarigam. His voice raises above the crowd and the whole place reverbrates. The devotees cry out "Jai" to each of his Pundarigam in a spirited manner.

"Nandha Baba Ki" ....Jai

"Gokula Dham Ki" .....Jai

SriSriAnna leaves to his room and the devotees still immersed in the joy move away slowly.
